Igreja Batista Pinheirópolis
This is our home church in Brazil where we base many of our ministries from. With a strong desire to reach neighbors for Christ, Phil & Rita Warkentien began this church with the support of Phil's parents, Lou and Fay Warkentien in 1993. It started as a Bible study at their home. On August 12th, 1995 it became the Pinheirópolis Church.

Today it is a strong, family-based church with many young families attending. Church members have a heart for outreach, going door-to-door inviting neighbors or welcoming family, friends or co-workers to attend. Frequent church-based events are hosted which foster opportunities to reach newcomers. Pinheirópolis Church is mission-oriented with members going on frequent mission trips to surrounding communities to help spread the Gospel.

Serrote dos Bois Church
Serrote dos Bois is a farming community 10 miles from our main church (Pinheirópolis). A man named Ademir wanted to see his family come to Christ, so he brought them to Pinheirópolis Church in an Indiana Jones style truck for one full year. This led to the planting of Serrote dos Bois Church which will celebrate it’s 16th anniversary on Dec 4th, 2020. Soccer, arts, ESL, VBS, picnics and BBQs have been key to reaching this community. In turn there are 6 villages being reached by Serrote’s Church.

Boa Esperança Church
“Boa Esperança” means “Good Hope.” A family that attends Pinheirópolis Church wanted to reach their relatives in Boa Esperança for Christ - the “OIKOS” principle. A distance of 500 kilometers (310 miles one way) must be traveled in order to reach this region of Brazil that is less than 1% reached for Christ. Church members have remained faithfully committed by making this long journey 10 - 12 times annually since 2010. Excitingly after years of prayer, God called Pr. Flavio and Mercia to pastor Boa Esperança Church in 2019! Funds are still needed to finish the church construction.

Host training of Leaders
Phil and Rita have opened the Pinheiropolis church as a key location to host training of Christian leaders in the region. Due to the churche's central geographical location, being just behind the interstate bus station and two major highways. 
We have hosted Samaritan's Church Ministry partner training, Convention for Pastors and Pastor's wifes.
